Misc. TV

These are all TV Shows that I feel need more quotes before they can have their own separate entry. Hopefully most of them will get their day. Until then....

And the shadow. Ignore it and life is forever suffering"

***Constantine***
S1E7
Manny- "What's it like? Pain."
Imogen- "It comes in waves. You feel helpless. You can't fight it. It becomes about making it to the other side, shrinking your world down to one fine point. When that wave melts away, you feel relief. Just for a moment, till it comes back to remind you."

then resenting us when we don't."

Reign (TV)

Minor content warning: Reign deals with a tough and very real issue (rape) that many people may relate to. It is, however, the best way I've seen it dealt with on any TV show or movie. (Because being honest it's extremely shitty how media represents and deals with rape, usually like a plot device with no empathy for the victim). Many people were outraged about it, but I find that contempt absolutely ridiculous. Rape is featured in movies and television constantly, and it's treated as a gimick. For the first time a show intentionally captured the fall out. And yeah, it wasn't pretty. But that's because it was geniune, realistic. I read articles of rape victims applauding its treatment of the issue, so I wonder how many furious about it have actually experienced it themselves? Note: Other issues that people have with it shows complete ignorance to the culture of the time period the show is based around.

S2E7

Condé- "You are daring. And fierce."
Mary- "I feel I have to be, until others find it within themselves to be the same."

S2E9

Catherine- "I know you don't want to be touched. That's alright. But you're safe.
I don't know how you managed to escape, but you did. You are alive. You will survive this.
I know this because I survived. You know that too. They tried to destroy you by taking
your pride and your strength, but those things cannot be taken. Not from you. Not ever.
We're going to change your clothes, fix your hair. We are going to erase any
mark of their hands on you." Fav

Catherine- "Do not let them win. Trust me. Trust me and let me help you.
Trust that I can get you through this because I swear to you that I can."

S2E10

Mary- "I thought that by killing those men I could find by way back to my old life, with Francis. But how can I? It's done, and it can't be undone- what they did to me and the events that led us here, so far from where we began."

S2E11

Greer- "If your heart wants to sleep, let it. Many things can be forced out of duty, but not the heart."

Mary- "No. Enough distance. I've been so deep in a well of my own pain, I couldn't see anything else. I forgot I'm not the only one who's hurt."

S2E17

Mary- "I thought I needed you, needed us together in Scotland, to find the person I was. I convinced myself that in order to heal I needed you by my side. But now I know. Before you dare to trust anyone else, you must first trust yourself, your own power, that strength I'd thought I'd lost. I hadn't. It's in me still."

S2E22

Mary- "Your mother would say we are stained by such choices. Such brutal and difficult choices we've made, but we can only do our best. Can we not make another choice? One equally hard but so important? To commit our hearts to each other no matter what?"

Francis- "If only it were that easy."

Mary- “It isn't. It's terrifying and nearly impossible. Especially if we think we can save each other. We can't. We can only love each other.”

S3E14

Mary- "Those memories are a part of me, Greer. But I am stronger than they are. My life is once again the sum of my choices NOT someone else's crimes."

The Flash (TV)

S2E1

Iris- "Well if you keep getting no for an answer, stop asking questions."

S2E5

Dr. Wells #2- "Everyone loses someone they care about, Snow. The real test of
character is what you do once they're gone."

S2E8

Thea- "Why don't you get a haircut and then maybe we can talk about it?"
Cisco- "I think you're just mad because my conditioner game is on point."

S2E22

Barry- "We're supposed to think we're something we're not until we become that thing. That's the path that Wally's on. I'm not gonna stop him from being the hero that he's gonna become."

Better Off Ted (TV)

S1E5

Veronica- "It's not my fault I don't listen when you talk."

Veronica-  "How should I know what's wrong? I'm not some Greek philosopher."

S2E3

Dr. Bhamba- "It takes a village to kill a village."

S2E6

Veronica- "Together we are like Gandhi. I'm skinny and you're tan."

S2E11

Linda to Veronica- "There's no middle ground with you. Either you don't care at all or you care a hundred and crazy percent."

S2E12

Lem- "Then it's time to lower the gangplank, and welcome you aboard the Friend-ship."

Continuum (TV)

This is a fabulous economic/political satire. It's an action packed future meets cop drama with insane technology and unexpected plot twists. Do give it a try.

S2E3

Alec- "There's free will, Kiera. If you don't believe in that, then what are any of us doing?"

S2E9

Kiera- "Every monster starts off as someone's baby"

S3E2

Jason- "Don't catch a cold. That's what mothers say. Except you don't really catch a cold.
A cold catches you. You're just standing there."

Supernatural (TV) Seasons 10+

S10E3

Castiel- "Dean, you two have been through so much. Look, you're brothers.
It'd take a lot more than trying to kill Sam with a hammer
to make him want to walk away."

S10E9

Castiel- "Before I was very self-assured. I was convinced I was on this righteous path.

Now I realize that there is no righteous path, there's just people trying to do
their best in a world where it's far too easy to do your worst."

S10E11

Charlie- "You hit like a girl who never learned how to hit."

S10E16

Ghost-Nun Isabella- "There is not much difference between madness and devotion."

S10E17

Dean- "A wise man once told me 'Family don't end in blood.'
But it doesn't start there either. Family cares about you, not what you can do for them.
Family's there, through the good, bad, all of it. They got your back. Even when it hurts.
That's family."

S11E2

Jenna- "Don't worry. She won't care. I slit her throat."

S11E5

Len- "I remember what it was like to do the right thing.
So I'm going through the motions. For as long as I can."

Supernatural (TV) Seasons 8-9

S8E21

Metatron- "When you create stories, you become gods of tiny, intricate
dimensions unto themselves. So many worlds!"

S9E4

Haggerty (Man of Letters)- "There's nothing worse than adventure. Trust me."

S9E7

Dean- "Farm looks, uh, nice."
Sonny- "Oh please, man. It's barely standing. Only got a handful
of kids working around here now."
Dean- "Why's that?"
Sonny- "Because these days the system would rather
incarcerate a boy than redeem him."

S9E18

Metatron- "That was God's problem, you know. He published the first draft."

S9E21

Crowley's son (Gavin)- "You sold your soul? Sold it! For an extra three inches of willy?"

Crowley's son (Gavin)-  "I-I can't be consorting with a demon"

Crowley- "Not just any demon! I'm the king! The king of hell!
And there you were, worried the old man wouldn't amount to much."

S9E15

Dean- "I dunno man. 'cause lately with you up is down and down is.. sideways.
You know. I, I don't know what you want."

Ed- "I don't want to be a jellyfish spine anymore, Harry."
Harry- "Jellyfish don't have spines."
Ed- "Exactly."

Supergirl (TV)

S1E5

Cat the Boss Lady- "Kara, get me a salad for lunch. I don't care what
type as long as it has a cheeseburger on top of it."

Alex- "You've spent more time in the friendzone then the phantom zone."

Kara- "This is a really good school. I'm surprised they haven't taught
you guys to speak out loud yet."

Doctor Who: Hell Bent S9E12 (TV)

I am giving this episode its own page separate from the rest of the show (which will eventually come...) because there were so many great quotes this episode. I'm just calling The Doctor by the actor's name, Capaldi, because their numbers are so tiresome and bland. Gotta say this episode was an emotional-roller coaster, but so full of good quotes

Clara (as waitress)- "You been traveling?"
Capaldi- "Yeah. From time to time."

Capaldi- "Every story ever told really happened. Stories are where
memories go when they're forgotten."

The General- "We could talk to him."
The President- "Words are his weapons."
The General- "When did they stop being ours?"

The President- "Who does he think he is?"
The General- "The man who won the Time-War sir."

Capaldi to The President- "Get off my planet."

The General- "Lord President. He's a war hero. Some of these men served with him."
The President- "These men serve me!"

The President- "You missed. All of you. Every single one of you! How is that possible?
What is it? Is the firing squad afraid of the unarmed man?!"

Soldier Gastron- "There was a saying, sir, in the Time-War. The first thing you notice
about the Doctor of War is he's unarmed. For many, it's also the last"

Clara- "Ooh. Ooh, That's weird. What's wrong with my ears?"
Capaldi- "Nothing."
Clara- "Ooh. It's weird everything sounds wrong."
Capaldi- "It's a side effect."
Clara- "I can hear you. I can hear you fine. It's like, but I don't know,
it's like, umm...something is missing?"
The General- "Doctor, we have to tell her. We always tell them."
Clara- "Tell me what? What's he talking about? Doctor..."
-silence-
Clara- "Doctor, what's going on?"
Capaldi- "Clara there's a sound you've been living with every day of
your life that you've learned not to hear."
Clara- "What sound? What's wrong? Just tell me! Doctor! What sound?"
Capaldi- "Your heartbeat." (pause for emphasis) "Your physical processes have been
time locked, frozen, between one heartbeat and the next. Even your breathing
is just a habit. You don't need it."

Clara- "You killed that man! You shot him! He's dead!"
Capaldi- "It was him or you."
Clara- "I don't care! "
Capaldi- "Yeah? Well, the difference is, when you die, you stay dead.
Clara- "So does he!"
Capaldi- "We're on Gallifrey. Death is Time Lord for man flu!

Ohila- "Hope is a terrible thing on the scaffold."

The General- "Where can he run?
Ohila- "Where he always runs. Away. Just away."

Capaldi- "At the end of everything we should expect the company of immortals,
or so I've been told."

Clara- "Tomorrow is promised to no one, Doctor, but I insist upon my past.
I am entitled to that. It's mine."

Orphan Black: TV Show

Note about the show: If you haven't been watching then you are truly missing out. Constant action and plot twists as women across the world discover they were part of a secret cloning project. With dangers around every corner and no idea who to trust, it's far too easy for the audience to forget that all of the main (clone) characters are played by the same woman! Excellent acting. Hell, it took twins to play one character in Full House, yet this woman, Tatiana Maslany pulls off # (spoilers) characters interacting together in the same scene. Watch it.
